Exciting News: The MECOnet-ARCA Sensor Dashboard is Live in Test Phase!

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the MECOnet-ARCA Telemetry Dashboard test phase. Deployed in the heart of NP Lovćen, Montenegro, this advanced network tracks vital environmental and microclimatic indicators across distributed sensor nodes.

The Importance of NP Lovćen

Mount Lovćen holds immense ecological, historical, and national significance for Montenegro. Rising steeply from the Adriatic coast, it serves as a critical bridge between Mediterranean and continental climate zones, creating a unique and diverse ecosystem rich in endemic flora and fauna.

Because of its extreme topography and weather variability, Lovćen acts as a natural laboratory. Deploying our telemetry and sensor network here allows researchers to monitor microclimatic shifts, forest health dynamics, and environmental resilience in real time.

What We’re Monitoring
  • Environmental Dynamics: Air temperature, relative humidity, vapor pressure deficit, and structural movement.
  • Sap Flow & Growth: Plant physiological dynamics.
  • Spectral Indices: Multi-wavelength data and vegetative indices.
  • Fire & Air Quality: Gas levels, air quality indexes, and atmospheric parameters.

System Highlights
  • Interactive Spatial Mapping: Real-time geospatial overview of sensor nodes across NP Lovćen.
  • Granular Time Filters: Custom date ranges and quick select options (24 hours to 30 days) with synchronized visual trends.
  • Robust Automated Pipelines: Automated synchronization pipelines caching live telemetry data into a structured local database.
